Just about every article you read about bettering your health or losing weight is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. This is literally very true. From time to time, though, the last thing you choose is to have to make a meal from scratch. Sometimes you just would like to reach the drive through along the way home and call it a day. There is simply no reason that you simply shouldn’t be able to make it happen once in a while and be free of the guilt usually associated with “diet slips”. This is because a lot of the famous fast food restaurants out there are trying to “healthy up” their selections. Here’s how you’ll be able to eat healthfully while you are at a fast food restaurant.
Milk, juice as well as water would be the best selections for beverages. When you consume a large soft drink you are adding too much empty calories to your day. A solitary helping of soda is normally thought to be eight ounces. Those eight ounces tend to be at least 100 calories and about ten tablespoons of sugar. A fast food soft drink is typically a minimum of twenty ounces. Generally, however, they’re 30 ounces. This shows that your drink alone will put a multitude of ounces of sugar into your body as well as several thousand empty calories. It is much healthier to decide on milk, juice and also regular water.
Logic says that one of the best ways to stay balanced is to sidestep the drive through and never eat fast food. While, for the most part, this is a good plan, if you make intelligent choices, there is no reason to feel guilty for visiting a drive through one or two times a month. Sometimes what you need most is just to have somebody else do the cooking. When you select healthful menu items, you do not have to feel guilty about visiting the drive through.

- Provide 1 red pepper
- You need 1 piece ginger (thumb size)
- Take 1 clove garlic
- Prepare 1 tin tomatoes (400g)
- Get 1 tin coconut milk

Instructions to make Coconut Dal:
- Wash the lentils. Cut the vegetables in little dices. Heat up some oil and fry the vegetables for about 5 min over a medium heat. Then add garam masala and tomato purée and fry over an high heat for 30 sec - 1 min. Start best with 1 tsp of garam masala because its a strong flavour. If you like it a bit stronger add up to 1 tbsp.
- Pour in the tin tomatoes and add the lentils. Mix well. Pour in the coconut milk bring to the boil, then turn heat down and simmer for 25 min. Stir occasionally. Ive learned as well today, that the Indian Dal is normally a bit more watery. If you like it a bit more runny just add some more water. I prefer it not to thin and not to thick.
- Then season with salt, chilli and pepper. If you like you can garnish with fresh coriander. Serve with naan or rice. Enjoy <3
